Here featuring as many fandoms as I show tags for. :D
Since over time my number of recommendations for certain fandoms has decreased with the loss of fic archives and so on, I'm putting the television fandoms that used to have their own entries in here. If there's less than 5 active recs, it goes in here. If it has both a literary and television presence, then whichever form of media I prefer, or the one that is the most well-known, determines which post it goes in. I'm also putting one "radio" fandom in here, for lack of a better spot, as radio has episodes like television does.
LAST UPDATED: 7/23/19: Leverage was made for me. 10/30/19: I had to add some Brooklyn 99. 8/4/23: Time for Ted Lasso! Also, making space for Asian dramas other than The Untamed...
~As Cuddly as a Cactus, by hardlygolden. The 99 does Christmas.
~The Ladies Book Club of the Ninety-Ninth Precinct, by igrockspock. Amy and Rosa's interests happen to dovetail in one specific way.
Cherry Magic: 30 Years of Virginity Makes You a Wizard:
~In Time, by ladylapizlazuli. Kurosawa pines so well for Adachi.
Chuck:
~A Reasonable Facsimile, by CaffieneKitty. Humor; Morgan has to teach the spy drones how to slack, as they're failing their cover as retail employees.
Dead Like Me:
~The End and Other Stories, in which Reapers are disappearing and the remaining ones cleave together.
Farscape:
~No Easy Way Down In which, in an alternative to canon which I personally find more satisfying, John and Aeryn aren't immediately sexually compatible. Aliens, hello?
The Hercules and Xena-verse:
~The AresJoxerCupidStrife Archives! When you have a need for sappy, waffy, hurt-comfort, OOC, possiblympreg slashy lunacy, get your itch scratched here. Why settle for less? Also, while the authors mostly slaughter the characters, a few diamonds in the rough manage to make the plots almost plausible. Maybe not worth dredging for, but that's your call.
~For some reason, I really enjoy Home Unknown by Karisma. Joxer bumbles his way into becoming, first, the handy go-to guy for the Pantheon, and then a god himself. Probably an abandoned fic at this point.
~Candace and Erinslashslut both are excellent, and write persuasive characterizations.
~The Confused Fan's Guide to Interpersonal Relationships in the Hercules/Xenaverse. No lesser chart would satisfy your needs. How else would you ever know that Lydia and Melissa have an uncanny resemblance to Dirce, or that Salmoneus blatantly impersonated a showgirl?
Invisible Man:
~Actualize This, by Helena Handbasket. No pairings. Crossover with Sentineland Stargate SG-1. Plot summary: forced by work to go to a partner seminar in Canada, the various couples zone out during counseling, refuse to play along with the Friendship Circles, and manage to ferret out a crime before becoming totally bored. One reader described it as, and I paraphrase, "the geeks solve the crime intelligently, the policemen/soldiers use superior tactics and reasoning, and the nuts are nuts."
Jeeves and Wooster:
~Reggie and Wooster, an AU in which Jeeves is the upperclass character and Bertie is the manservant.
~Sorting Out the Dance Card, a slow J/W romance involving trips to France and a woman who definitely isn't in love with Bertie.
~Green Ice, by Adina. Gen, and apparently a crossover with Sayer's Lord Peter Wimsey, whatever that is. A serious explanation for why Bertie usually is quite dim, but has flashes of brilliance, that matches well with the era.
Leverage:
~Audience: 822,000 and Homeland Security, by WerewolvesAreReal. The outsider's POV - via Hardison's somewhat imprudent desire to livestream his Dragon-Age mods - of the Portland Leverage team. Gen, but with that perpetual OT3 feel.
The Muppets:
~Back Row Hecklers, by SteelNeko. The first Stadtler and Waldorf fic. Two old friends keep coming back to the same silly show, but why?
~Exclusive Content, by Ellen_Fremedon. Sesame Street has always been about subversiveness.
~If You Can't Say Anything Nice, by Caitrin Torres. The other Stadtler and Waldorf fic. There's a word for being trapped in a routine you don't like - maybe it's "cursed".
~Lovers and Dreamers, by Amy. Crossover between the Muppets and Smallville. The Luthors come to buy the theatre.
~Take Atlantis, by SiegeofAngels. Crossover between the Muppets and Stargate: Atlantis. I laughed like a maniac. Probably only funny if you're familiar with SGA, though.
The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty:
~The Pheasant Calling, by Phnelt. Why don't more cases use Tang Fan's canonical side-job of romance novelist? This one has delightful Romancing the Stone flair. Heading towards the OT3, Sui Zhou/Tang Fan/Wang Zhi.
~Write Me a Better Love Story, by lucabee. A nigh-canonical comedy of errors. Eventual Sui Zhou/Tang Fan.
Ted Lasso:
~Hospital Ball (Jamie Tartt's Adventures in Matchmaking), by dannyPURO. They're all bad a communicating what kind of a relationship they're in. A kind-of S3 adjacent romance. Jamie/Keeley/Roy.
Welcome to Night Vale:
~Check the Teen Wolf recs for a few crossovers.
~Also check Ciceqi's home page - she's really getting into this fandom.
~Family Reunion, by SailorPtah. Crossover with Fake News and the Magic School Bus - and a bunch of other fandoms that are restricted to cameos. There's a whole "Weird America" full of towns like Night Vale... and Cecil is bringing Carlos to one of them for a family reunion. Warning: this may ruin Magic School Bus for you - or enhance it, if you prefer the horror angle. If you do, try this Magic School Bus fic by Elvenpiratelady: On the Ice.
