Extremely Small Fandoms, Movies
I don't have too many small Movie fandoms, but they deserve their own post as of October '17, rather than being crowded into the Television post. If there's five or fewer fics, the fandom goes here.
Big Hero 6:
~Natural Born Actor, by Jalules. Because Hiro really does seem to possess a moral compass based on what Tadashi tells him he's done wrong... poor Aunt Cass, raising a genius troublemaker. Gen.
~A Few Seconds Difference, by Nike. AU, Tadashi survived. A Fix-It done well. Gen.
~Tell Me All About It, by ToukoTai. AU, ageswap for Hiro and Tadashi means that Hiro is the dropout older brother whose younger sibling persuades him to get back into robotics, and who watches him go into the fire & never come out again. Currently a gen WIP, reimagining the effects on the movie with these changes.
The Breakfast Club: all Bender/Brian unless otherwise marked - I didn't like the movie, but I like this pairing.
~Higher Education, by Resonant. Bender leaves high school, gets a mechanic job, and grows up, with the occasional interlude with Brian (who is responsible for a gay epiphany).
~Fifteen Detentions, by Kanako. In canon, Bender is supposedly having more than a dozen Saturday detentions after the movie, alone with a very bitter principal free to menace him. Members of the Club aren't going to leave him there without a friendly set of eyes.
~Lysistrata 2.0, by HugeAlienPie. Decades later, Brian is a politician in Illinois and Bender is his finally-legal spouse. Watch Bender conquer their homophobic political enemies with Greek literature!
Disney Films (animated, and other than BH6):
~The Disney Kink Meme is fabulous. Note to self, remember the Little Mermaid/Princess and the Frog crossover and the Emperor's New Groove/Princess and the Frog crossover.
~Bittersweet and Strange, by Roberly. Beauty and the Beast. What if Gaston and the other townspeople weren't cartoonishly awful? Belle accepts Gaston's proposal after her father dies. Some Gaston/Le Feu implied.
~Hoard Your Happy Ending, by Runespoor. The Sword in the Stone. Because the squirrel deserved better.
~Picture This, by TrudiRose. Beauty and the Beast. Het, Belle/Gaston. No, not kidding. If the Beast weren't around, how would/could Belle and Gaston get together? Answer: slowly, and with compromises on both sides. Reads like what would have really happened in a non-fantasy/fairytale setting.
~Local Man Finds His Arcade Turbotastic, by Cadavatar. Wreck-It Ralph, Mr. Litwak has known for a long time about the after-hours lives of his game consoles' characters. Gen.
The Fifth Element:
~Public Interest, by Apathy. This one is a short piece on a reporter's attempts to get the truth from Korben and Leeloo about what happened the day of the enormous rock almost hitting Earth. I like the ways other characters were brought in.
My Fair Lady:
~A Mother's Work is Never Done, by Myrtle. I'd love for this to be three orders of magnitude longer, but ah well, I wasn't expecting even one author who agreed with me that everyone is ace or just friends. Henry's mother's opinion of her son and his friends, through the years.
Pirates of the Caribbean:
~L.M. Griffin wrote what might be the superlative James Norrington/Jack Sparrow, The Matter of RulesArc, and a little Norrington/Gillette called Rant that I'm fond of for some reason - I suspect the naval wigs called to me.
~The Mad Fangirl is still writing her epic fic, Taxes. Will/Jack; a "their-reincarnations-get-together-and-then-remember" fic.
Rise of the Guardians:
~The Pitch Addams series, by Neyiea. Not every family was happy to lose the Boogeyman, and what is Santa for if not to grant children's wishes? Probably the only acceptable happy ending for Pitch that I'll find.
~The Myth Among Myths series, by Frost in the Warren. What if Jack Frost was so un-believed in, that even fellow spirits couldn't see him? WIP, but the first story works as a standalone.
~I Like To Move It Move It, by Lady Phenyx. Jack's father wasn't 100% human, and his Siren heritage helps him to protect children from threats like the Pied Piper.
~Listen to your Heart, by Kayasurin. She writes a lot of RotG fic, actually, but most of it is either not to my taste or in the form of very long series (some of which I enjoyed, nonetheless). In this one, humans have Names on their wrists, and Pookas have Songs in their hearts, to indicate their soulmates. Obviously this is headed toward Jack Frost/E. Aster Bunnymund.
