So... let us go now, you and I... to a boarding school in Canada.

Author
~Calathea writes a ton of Gordon Korman stuff. In fact, I like her "I Want To Go Home" stories even more than her B&B ones, but I don't have a separate category for those, since she seems to be the big name for that subfandom too. Her work is smart, funny, and Korman-esque. About the only difference in style is the obvious slash. The romances are clearly between teenage boys and not cardboard mockeries or weepy almost-chicks, and the characterization Korman created is still very much intact.

Stargate Atlantis/B&B... is a surprisingly workable mix. Mostly because one of the SGA characters is canon-Canadian.
~Godforsaken: Hero Worship, by Siege of Angels: In which Elmer Drimsdale idolizes a former student of Macdonald Hall. Not hard to guess who that could be, but it's still quite funny, if shorter than I wished. Of course, Elmer gets a cameo in a later fic that almost makes up for that. Speaking of, that series is The Godforsaken series: Part one, Part two, Part three. Rodney McKay takes himself and John Sheppard to visit his sister and her son, Bruno (!!). Man, I wish Jeannie had had Bruno instead of her daughter.

B&B and Other Korman books:
~My New Roommate, by Annnimeee; crosses B&B with A Semester in the Life of a Garbage Bag. The title is a hint; after a non-relationship, the Macdonald Hall boys go to different colleges. The reader mostly follows Boots and his new roomie, Jardine... whose luck has not improved, and who has just broken up with Sean. Cue (slashy) antics, and an eventual Bruno/Boots, Jardine/Sean resolution.
~On the Road, by Rageprufrock. Crosses B&B with The Twinkie Squad. This hits my hardcore politics kink. Bruno is not established as firmly as Boots is in canon as Canadian, and this author made him American. Here, the 21st century political machine is grinding down on Bruno Walton, advisor to the Democratic candidate for the Presidency, and ex-boyfriend of teacher Melvin O'Neal. One of the commenters compared the story to the estrangement of Canada and the U.S. as embodied by Boots and Bruno, and I can totally see that.
~Formerly Known As, a fic set only in in the world of "Don't Care High". In the midst of trying to direct the post-Mike Otis ambitions of the student body, Paul realizes that he prefers Sheldon's company over his girlfriend's. Paul/Sheldon.
